J. Eric Nickols
As a former Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Texas, a former felony prosecutor in the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, and now as a criminal defense attorney since 2017 Eric has tried over 150 jury trials. Those trials include capital murder, murder, drug conspiracy, human trafficking, white-collar crimes, sexual assault, injury to a child, aggravated assault, assault, and DWI. Eric has received multiple advantageous results for his clients and believes in being ready to go to trial or negotiate a beneficial plea bargain to satisfy his client’s wishes.
Eric graduated from Howard Payne University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. Eric graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2003. Eric is a proud member of the Texas Bar Association and the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association. Additionally, Eric has the rare distinction of being Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Fewer than 7% of attorneys in Texas have this honor. Eric lives in Tarrant County with his wife and 2 children.
